Tenant Development

Tenant Improvements and Interior Design

Tenant development encompasses the project team of professionals collaborating to achieve the desired work environment for a client, usually in an office suite environment. For example, tenant development may address updates to the building’s standard lighting and mechanical systems necessary to provide an appropriate environment for the tenant’s work configuration and tastes. This may include, in addition to lighting, heating, electrical wiring or cabling for internet and computer connectivity.

Tenant development work may also involve custom millwork (generally, woodwork such as doors, trim, paneling, crown molding, window frames, etc.) to accommodate the client’s desired configuration and work environment. Tenant development work can also involve office furniture selection for a client.

Tenant development work can extend into the building common area such as the elevator lobby, and include other elements, such as exterior signage.
